Last week, TACT team participated at the Sports Festival in Lyon, France, organized by the non-governmental Equal Playing Field, which advocates gender equality and empowerment of women through football. Within the festival, trainings and workshops were organized with speakers from different countries, who shared their experiences and the challenges they face in recreational and professional football.
However, what marked the festival is setting a new world record with the highest number of players (807 in total) in soccer in a 69-hour permanent game, with a score of 404-369. This event was organized in order to send a message for promotion of gender equality and equal opportunities for women and men in sports, that is, football. The slogan of the event #Anygirlanywhere means that all girls and women should have access and equal opportunities in football.
